About the Addo Elephant National Park

Addo Elephant National Park was established in 1931 to protect the last 11 elephants in the region. Today, it is South Africa's third-largest national park and home to over 750 elephants, lions, buffalo, rhinos, leopards, zebras, antelopes, and more than 400 bird species. Great white sharks and humpback whales are also among the "Big 7" that inhabit the park's marine area.
