Located directly on the eastern border of Addo Elephant National Park is the
Schotia Private Game Reserve – the oldest private game reserve in the Eastern Cape

and one of the most densely populated reserves in Africa: A relatively compact area is home to

Over 40 mammal species, including free-roaming lions that can be seen on almost every trip.

Schotia's most famous experience is the "Tooth & Claw Safari":

A guided game drive in an open 4x4 vehicle, combining afternoon and evening drives,

interrupted by a tea break. The evening ends with dinner in a rustic lapa with a campfire –

a safari experience that offers not only wildlife viewing but also genuine South African hospitality.

Those who wish can even stay overnight and experience an additional game drive the next morning in the quiet early hours – completely without day visitors.
